Kaip sakoma vienoje agitacijoje, 2004 metais balsavo mažiau nei pusė Lietuvos gyventojų. Kažkodėl nemanau, jog per šiuos rinkimus balsuos didesnė dalis piliečių. Ogi kodėl?
Dalyvavimas rinkimuose yra pilietinė pareiga ir teisė išreikšti savo politines pažiūras. Nedalyvavimas rinkimuose irgi yra politinė pažiūra, tačiau nebalsuojant parodomas abejingumas bet kokios politinės jėgos atžvilgiu, tad toks abejingumas turėtų būti traktuojamas ne kaip asmens pilietinės pareigos neatlikimas, o kaip politikų nesugebėjimas įtikinti rinkėjo.
Kaip sako Artūras Zuokas, nebalsuoji - nesiskųsk. O ar galėčiau skųstis, jei balsuočiau? Rinkėjai politikams svarbūs tik prieš rinkimus, o po jų, deja, rinkėjai vėl tampa nereikšminga pilka masė.
Mano supratimu, politikai turėtų turėti tvirtas pažiūras ir tie rinkėjai, kurių daugumos pažiūros sutampa su politinės jėgos idėjomis, vertybėmis, nulemtų, kas bus valdančioji dauguma. Deja, politikoje nebėra vertybių, tvirtų nusistovėjusių pažiūrų. Kai kurios partijos net nesugeba išreikšti savo politinės pakraipos. Tad ar tokie politikai yra verti būti valdžioje? Netgi turinčios savo politinę kryptį partijos, po rinkimų neretai "susikryžmina" su visiškai priešingų vertybių partijomis, dėl ko tokia "miršainė" ne tik nesugeba, bet ir nesistengia atstovauti savo rinkėjams.
Lietuva - senstanti šalis, patirianti didelę emigracijos bangą. Jaunimas išvyksta į užsienį, o provincijose likę "diedukai" sudaro absoliučią daugumą, kuri nulemia rinkimų rezultatus. Deja, tie provincialai balsuoja už tuos kandidatus, kurie pažada padidinti pensijas arba gražiai pašneka per vieną ar kitą realybės šou. Tokie kandidatai skatina stagnaciją, nesiima ryžtingų veiksmų, kurie ilgalaikėje perspektyvoje galėtų pakelti šalį į aukštumas. Ir teisingai. Kas tam nesupratingam senoliui svarbiau - papildomas litas prie pensijos, ar po 10 metų klestinti valstybė? Atsakymas aiškus. O kadangi dabar tokių žmonių - dauguma, jaunų žmonių balsai tampa beverčiai.
Visgi, atrodytų, yra galimybės emigrantams atlikti savo pilietinę pareigą, kodėl nesuteikiama galimybė balsuoti internetu? Aš matau tik vieną priežastį - tai neparanku politinėms jėgoms, kurių atstovų skaičių seime sumažintų ši galimybė, juk kažkam geriau santykinai daugiau balsuojančių pensininkų, nei aktyviai dalyvaujančio jaunimo. Kartu su seimo rinkimais vyksta referendumas dėl IAE uždarymo. Na čia tai išvis absurdas. Kodėl aš, kaip pilietis, turiu prisiimti atsakomybė ir kaltę dėl politikų nesugebėjimo atlikti savo pareigas. Įsipareigojimus ir pažadus reikia vykdyti, bet jei valdininkai nesugeba to atlikti, kodėl už tai turime prisiimti atsakomybę mes - piliečiai?
